Admiral Platform Endpoints

Introducing Endpoints Remote Management & Monitoring in Admiral Platform

We’re excited to announce the release of Remote Management and Monitoring for *nix in the Admiral Platform — a cloud-based monitoring solution designed to work seamlessly in a MikroTik-powered network. Endpoints help administrators optimize performance, prevent downtime, and keep systems running smoothly with a user-friendly experience that gets you monitoring in just minutes.

Unlike traditional monitoring tools that come with steep learning curves and heavy setup processes, Endpoints is built to be simple, lightweight, and incredibly fast to deploy.

Why Endpoints Matters

Keeping *nix servers healthy is critical for network administrators and IT teams. Endpoints in Admiral Platform makes this process easier by delivering:

  • Identify bottlenecks: Quickly pinpoint which servers have issues with CPU, memory, or disk I/O.
  • Prevent downtime: Get alerts so you can catch issues before they become outages.
  • Optimize performance: Fine-tune workloads for consistent reliability.
  • Track resource utilization: See how your workloads behave over time.
  • Ensure security: Detect anomalies and suspicious activities early.

Whether you’re managing a single server or a distributed system, Admiral provides the visibility and control you need to stay ahead.

Key Features

Endpoints RMM is packed with powerful features designed with simplicity and speed in mind:

  • Zero-configuration setup – start monitoring instantly*.
  • Up and running in 2 minutes – no complex installs or long training required.
  • Low resource usage – lightweight and efficient.
  • Alerts & notifications – know when something needs your attention.

*As long as SNMP is already enabled on your server.

How It Works

The Endpoints implementation leverages SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol), SSH, HTTP and more to establish secure remote access and provide real-time monitoring and alerts. This enables administrators to oversee both servers and the surrounding network environment with ease.

With SNMP, Endpoints can track:

  • Network device status
  • Bandwidth utilization
  • Connection statistics
  • Device health metrics

With HTTP(s), Endpoints also tracks:

  • Availability of a web server
  • Http status code tracking

Remote Access features:

  • WebSSH
    • Password and Key-based Authentication
    • Terminal/Shell Sessions – instant CLI access through your browser
    • SFTP Upload and Download remote file management
    • Concurrent Operations (e.g. simultaneous Terminal + Upload + Download)
  • Native UI – URL and port for native web or other UI

This ensures IT teams always have visibility into the infrastructure, spotting issues before they impact users.

What Endpoints Monitors

Endpoints covers the most critical performance and security metrics, including:

  • CPU usage patterns
  • Memory usage trends
  • Disk usage and disk space
  • Http status
  • Network traffic analysis
  • System load averages
  • Interface Errors

These insights make it easier to keep systems running at peak performance, while providing the data you need for proactive capacity planning and troubleshooting.

Future Development: Expanding Into Additional SNMP Monitoring

The release of Endpoints for *nix Monitoring is just the first step. Our engineering team is working to expand and enhance monitoring capabilities both with and beyond *nix servers to include a wide range of SNMP-enabled devices. This upcoming functionality will allow administrators to:

  • Monitor additional network equipment such as switches, firewalls, and wireless controllers.
  • Gain visibility into IoT devices for smarter infrastructure management.
  • Track environmental sensors (temperature, humidity, power usage, etc.) to improve reliability and uptime.
  • Consolidate multi-vendor device monitoring into a single, unified dashboard.

By extending into broader SNMP device management, Admiral Platform will provide IT teams with deeper visibility across their networks, servers, and connected devices — all with the same simplicity and speed.

In addition, Admiral Platform will look to implement other protocols as well. With MikroTiks acting as the secure gateway, we are able to support numerous useful networked protocols, or even protocols that use Unix sockets. Do you have a favorite database like Postgres, MariaDB, or Redis? Need remote access to your desktop using RDP or VNC? Need the ability to manage docker containers?
