This weekend I decided to “level-up” my home Wi-Fi by mixing in some new MikroTik…

Admiral Adds Neighbors — in Prep for Hydra! ⚓️
At Admiral, we’re always looking for ways to make your dashboard smarter, faster, and more complete. This month, we’re rolling out a brand-new feature inside the EXTRAS tab: Neighbors — your network visibility just got a whole lot clearer.
Meet the Neighbors
The new Neighbors view automatically discovers and displays nearby devices connected to your MikroTiks — the same devices you’d see under /ip/neighbor on RouterOS, but with a clean, visual interface directly in Admiral.
Think of it as your network’s radar screen: you can instantly see who’s around, what’s connected, and whether each device is already part of your managed Admiral deployment.

Why It Matters
When managing large networks, especially with dozens, hundreds or even thousands of MikroTiks, it’s easy for a few devices to slip through the cracks — new additions, forgotten lab gear, or unclaimed field routers. The Neighbors tab makes those blind spots obvious:
- 🧭 Visual topology discovery — See nearby devices mapped in seconds.
- 🧱 Quick identification — Icons and labels show whether a device is a MikroTik or something else entirely.
- 🛡 Management awareness — Instantly spot if a MikroTik is already protected and monitored by Admiral… or if it’s missing from your account.
No more guessing, no more manual lists — just fast, visual confirmation of what’s actually online and what’s not under management.
One-Click Onboarding Coming Soon
In the next few weeks, we’re taking this even further: you’ll be able to add any discovered MikroTik directly into Admiral with a single click and some credentials.
If you’ve ever realized too late that a router wasn’t enrolled in your dashboard or missing from alerts, this feature will make sure that never happens again.
It’s all part of our ongoing work on Hydra — Admiral’s next-generation visibility and automation layer that’s designed to make managing your fleet faster, smarter, and more intuitive than ever.
The Big Picture
The Neighbors feature is a small but powerful step toward full automatic network discovery and topology awareness — capabilities that will power upcoming modules like Hydra, Spider, and advanced mapping inside the Admiral Platform.
Stay tuned: in the coming releases, you’ll see Neighbors evolve into the foundation for deeper device relationships, connection paths, and even automated onboarding across your entire fleet.

Chances are, you’ll find a few surprises — and soon, you’ll be able to bring them home with one click. ⚓️
