Subscriber Managed Router Portal #
Compass Wifi is a mobile friendly view of a router with Wi-Fi, SSID and devices listed as well as real-time per device bandwidth. This is also where parental controls can be used if enabled by Administrators.
Each router can be assigned one or many subscribers.
When the subscriber logs in they have access to the information for that router which can be read-only, or if the Administrator allows, access to update Wifi, Run a Speediest and set parental controls on devices.
Compass Wifi Features #
Parental Controls: Create users, assign devices and set on/off times for devices for internet access. #
Manage Wifi Settings: Users can change SSID and Passphrase or enable a guest wifi. #
View Devices: Graphs and listing of all devices connected to the network. #
SpeedTest: Users can run a speediest from the Compass Wifi Interface. #
Create a Subscriber #
In the router listing, look for the subscriber button or click the Subscriber button on the router edit page. Use the form to invite a new subscriber to have access. Note- do not use an email already an Administrator in the dashboard.
Subscriber Instructions #
An email with instructions will be sent to the subscriber account. Once the user resets their password they should be able to go to the login page and have access to their router.
Remove A Subscriber #
Click the remove link to remove access to the router for that subscriber.
Subscriber Management #
Subscribers can also be managed under the User Manager Link.
This listing will show what routers are assigned to a subscriber and has updates for changing or removing subscribers.
