The Login manager feature allows you to easily manage who can access the routers in your network by configuring your routers with a click of a button to run authorization requests by RemoteWinBox server. Easily add, delete and update users that can access your routers, and change permissions to the routers that are in your network.
Add User Button #
Clicking Add User button opens up a form that you can use to add a new user.
Full Permissions All Button #
Full Permissions All button iteratively configures each of your routers that is online and doesn’t have any permissions issues when it comes to accessing it from RemoteWinBox server.
Activate All Button #
Activate All Button iteratively configures each of your routers to use login for authentication if possible.
Login Manager Users Table #
RADIUS Users table contains a list of users you added, that have access to your routers. Each user will have an Update Password button and a Delete button. Use these as needed to manage your staff’s accounts.
Login Manager Routers Table #
Login Manager Routers table allows you to manage Permissions and Status for your fleet of routers.
As seen in the screenshot below, Permissions can be in one of the three states (per router):
READ: Any user that logs in will have a read-only access to the router.
FULL: Any user that logs in will have full access to the router.
NOT ASSIGNED: The permissions were not set for this router yet.
Clicking on either of the permissions buttons will toggle between the different kinds of permissions. (e.g clicking on FULL will toggle the permissions to READ)
As seen in the screenshot below, Login Manager Status can be in one of the two states (per router):
ACTIVE: Authentication through Login Manager has been enabled for this router.
INACTIVE: Authentication through Login Manager has not been enabled for this router.
Clicking on either of the Login Manager Status buttons toggles between active and inactive status of RADIUS authentication for the router.
Having Troubles Getting Login Manager To Work? #
RaLogin Managerdius feature requires some configuration on the routers in your fleet. That means that RemoteWinBox has some requirements when it comes to making this feature available to you. Requirements are, but aren’t limited to: RemoteWinBox user has to be enabled and have `group=full` on your router, API service has to be enabled, router has to be online.
Some issues RemoteWinBox can recognize automatically, and you will get a router that looks like a screenshot below:
You won’t be able to click on Permissions or Status buttons, but the red info icons will possibly give you an idea of what is the issue.
